About us

This is one of the things
we do best

“We are at a unique stage in our history. Never before have we had such an awareness of what we are doing to the planet, and never before have we had the power to do something about that. Surely we all have a responsibility to care for our blue planet. The future of humanity and indeed, all life on earth, now depends on us.”
Sir David Attenborough

Our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility in Cranleigh, Surrey began receiving local food waste in January 2019. We have capacity to process 25,000 tonnes of waste each year, to produce up to 2.3 million cubic metres of clean, green, renewable biomethane. This would provide electricity for around 700 average sized family homes per year.

Our facility is regulated and permitted by the Environment Agency and Animal and Plant Health Authority and we are operated under an certified Competence Management System certified by LRWQ.

Since opening, we have welcomed visitors from local businesses, councils, parish councils and schools, to explore ways in which we can work together to promote sustainability.

By harnessing biomethane, we capture one of the most concentrated greenhouse gases that are so dangerous for the planet.
