DBE achieves PAS 110 Quality Standard

DBE Energy is delighted to announce that we have been accredited under REAL’s Biofertiliser Certification Scheme.

The great news for local farmers we supply – and for farmers who would like our product – is that our nutrient-rich digestate (and the processes through which it is produced) have achieved the rigorous national PAS110 standards for it be certified as a quality product, for application to land as an organic biofertiliser. As a product, the biofertiliser doesn’t need Environment Agency exemptions, thus avoiding additional costs and regulations.

We fully support the Environment Agency’s position on the need to significantly reduce the plastics limit in digestate that is destined for use on land.  We are proud that laboratory analysis of our pasteurised digestate consistently reports the presence of zero physical contaminants (plastic, glass, metal and stones).

To ensure that our product meets our customers’ needs, typical characteristics (Nitrogen, Residual Biogas Potential, pH etc) are provided and are also available on request to potential new customers.
